If booking a trip separately, both trips would be counted in the number of trips when completed. If booking together, that is only considered one trip for the person who booked it.
If a VIP member removes themselves from a family account they will drop down to the VIP tier level associated with their (not the family’s) completed trips i.e. if they were part of a VIP Family and had a Platinum tier, but they themselves only had 5 completed eligible trips, once they were removed from the family account they would be VIP Gold.

No. You simply maintain the same tier level from year to year until you advance. You can graduate to a new level with new qualifying trips completed after January 1st of the current year.
No. We only count qualifying trips from January 1st onward towards VIP status for the current year. Trips completed in previous years do not count, so keep your focus on future trips!
We aren't able to merge trips from different email addresses at this time, so be sure to always book with the email associated with your profile.
We get it — plans change. Any cancelled bookings will not be counted towards your VIP progress.

The ability to cancel depends on the type of booking and the cancellation policy associated with your reservation. Only trips that are completed count towards your VIP status.
