The pictures online are very, very deceiving. When I arrived, the hotel appeared to have tried to make an effort to renovate. There were people that clearly live in the hotel that was hanging out in the lobby with their kids.

We were within walking distance of downtown Detroit. It might be far for some, but we like to walk. It is not far from the water at all and it's really beautiful once you get to the river front. Staff were very friendly.

The location and the feeling of luxury. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I LOVE that the windows are operable - access to fresh air is SO important for avoiding mildew and helping to prevent the spread of illness.
The aesthetic was very satisfying. Rooms were spacious with very high ceilings and a water closet in the bathroom. Loved that Shinola speakers were in room for great listening to our music.

Very friendly staff. Wonderful hot breakfast. We stayed in a 2bedroom 2bathroom suite and loved the space. This is a pet friendly hotel too that only charged us a one time/trip fee of $100 for our week long stay.

I love George! I think that's his name. It was Saturday the 4th, 8AM. He has such a pleasant presence when we entered the restaurant. I didn't have a chance to meet the cook. But, our food was excellent.

My favorite thing was the receptionist. She made us feel comfortable and helped with anything we needed. Had great conversations with her and she definitely deserves a raise for all she deals with.
